The Eucalyptus polybractea, commonly known as the Eucalyptus blue-leaved mallee or simply blue mallee, is a species of mallee that is endemic to south-eastern Australia. The blue mallee oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and it contains one of the highest percentages of 1,8 cineol with an average of 85-95%. The oil of the Eucalyptus polybractea has a typical eucalyptus aroma combined with a fresh pine smell. It’s traditionally used to treat respiratory problems but its usages have now evolved to household cleaning, product manufacturing, massages, air fresheners and much more.
